Word from Ray Hughes at Music Hall, November 27, 2004

It’s a time of favor.  If you hear this in your heart, let this be your prayer.  I want to make a declaration over your lives today!  I’m anointed by a Holy God.  I’m a chosen vessel and His presence goes before me as well as in me.  He’s in my heart; He’s there by faith and “greater is He that is in me that he that is in this world”.  The favor of the Lord is on me and in this season of my life because He has proclaimed me to declare the good news and to set captives free.  My life is set apart to give Yahweh glory.  The best is yet to come for me, my family and city. 

God is for me, not against me and together we make a great team.  His plans, purposes and destiny for my life and my children’s children’s children will be fulfilled.  The enemies of my soul have become like grasshoppers in my own sight.  I will no longer deal and yield to insecurity and inferiority complexes.  I will no longer yield to those things that try to close me down because my God has called me for a season like this to preach the gospel to those who don’t know it.  I shall emphasize the triumph of Christ rather than the power of darkness.  Yeshua shall be magnified through my life and all the demons can’t stop me.  Yahweh’s favor is the grace of God that is magnified in a specific situation upon a specific person who is called for a specific task.  I ask that you start touching lives and hearts in this specific room.  God allowed a few words to touch Sam Jones’ life and not only change his life but millions as a result of him. 

Favor is the wagon to carry the cargo of faith.  And I release the favor of God over everyone that can hear my voice.  I declare favor is followed by acts of concentration and preparation and power.  Lord, we want to spend the rest of our lives preparing and I ask for acceleration of your preparation for the people in this room tonight.  Let us not look back in history but find “His story”.  That is what we want to be part of.  We know favor is usually followed by an increase of authority and power of God in and through any individual or group of people that will yield to His purposes in their generation.  So I declare that over our generation.  Favor comes over this place as well as shame and humility.  Favor releases a knowing that victory is near and we can see, hear, and taste it.  Favor results in the manifested presence of Yeshua being noticed by all mankind in and through our lives.  Yahweh, I declare the words of the pulpits have twice the impact.  Every church that lifts the name of Yeshua has twice the impact.  We are asking You to come back to church and walk through the halls of every church.  I ask for a triple manifestation of fresh anointing on every man and woman here.  I ask that you would release pastors and leaders in this city and give them a sledgehammer to shatter the stronghold of religion and formalism.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would help us mightily use the hammer that You place in the hands of these men and women.  I pray right now for the five year olds in this room.  Raise up five year olds into your season of grace.  Yahweh, when we uncap the well it’s just a well of your blessing and it will even bless the political arena here.  Yahweh, I’m asking You to pour out your blessings over this city of Cincinnati .  When people come into this region, they will not see, feel and sense the darkness, racial tension, hurt and woundings of yesterday.   But they will sense the healing balm that has been poured out.  Even as the pouring rain has come down tonight, we ask that there would be a raining of Your power and glory over this city that would change the spiritual climate here like it did in January 1896 in Yeshua’s name. 

Raise up men and women who will go into their prayer closet.  Give us an appetite for Your goodness, greatness, power and glory.  Don’t let us continue to run everything through our intellectual grid and try to line it up with the natural.  But let us be a people who are not afraid to break the pitcher and blow the shofar to sound and to declare the word of God.  Let the broken vessels here release Your light and let the shofar declare a sound that will change the spiritual climate in this region.  I pray this over this well tonight that Your power and life giving water would bubble over this area.  Raise up the sledgehammer to break through the formalism and release your power and truth.
