The following vision was given to me during a time of
intercessory worship preceding the End-Time Gathering at the Civic
Center Stadium in Florence, SC. While it was especially prophetic
of that particular event, it has proven to be a precious word
of encouragement to the Bride as she awaits the actual arrival
of her Love. -- Kathy Kennedy
Our Lord showed me a large banquet hall where angels were bringing
in tall stacks of white china plates. I heard Him say, "I
am preparing a banquet for your in the presence of your enemies."
The round tables were dressed in white linen and the silverware
was gold in color. The angels were going about their jobs with
joyful anticipation. The white linens and china, as well as the
golden flatware indicated that the foundation for the banquet
was one of holiness.
I heard my Lord speak again with a twinkle in His voice saying,
"Watch this!" I looked and saw bold, brightly colored
napkins being placed on the tables...fuschia, purple, emerald
green, yellow, sapphire blue, red, teal and more. Surprisingly
wonderful and unexpected colors of celebration! There were napkin
rings that at first appeared to be wires with small gold metallic
stars on them. My Lord said, "Look again!" with that
same playful joy in His voice. When I looked closer at the napkin
rings, they were not the man-made replicas of stars, but they
were beautiful, fine gold chains encircling the napkins as though
set in orbit, and in the midst of each were suspended tiny microscopic
real stars! They were astounding and defied all that one would
believe to be possible. What I sensed our Lord showing me was
this this would not be a man-made feast or event, but would originate
directly from His hand.
Next, there were brightly colored flowers being set in the
center of each table. And as I looked up at the high ceiling,
I saw bright balloons with long ribbons streaming from them. The
balloons were hugging the ceiling as though they wanted to lift
the roof off the room. A strong sense of knowing that we were
going to a new height in relationship with our Lord came over
me. "I'm not smelling any food," I thought, not really
even aloud. And my Lord answered me saying, "This is going
to be a love feast! We are going to feast on our love for one
another."
Immediately I was in the midst of a group of others and we
were worshiping our Lord. We stood throwing single stemmed flowers,
mostly roses, again vivid colors, heavenward. As they reached
the throne room, they landed at the base around the throne where
angels were dancing on the petals of the flowers. As they danced
on the petals, the oils of a wonderful fragrance were being pressed
out. The fragrance rose like incense and gathered in the folds
and weave of the fabric of our Lord,s garment. Wonder of wonders!
As we were worshiping Him from earth, the angels were joining
us in the heavenly realm, pressing out the fragrance of our worship
causing it to cling to His robes! It reminded me of the way perfume
stays in a dress or in a shirt...when you can pick up the shirt
of your loved one and still sense his presence because of the
reality of his fragrance.
Jesus moved from His throne into the midst of the banquet room
with us, carrying the sweet aroma of our own worship! He joined
us, inhabiting our worship, reciprocating our love....participating
in a feast or festival of love as He had promised.
What especially touched my heart was my Lord's demeanor ...
an almost boyish, delightful sense of humor. I could tell it made
Him happy to confound me with the bright colors after starting
out the vision on a note of reverence with the white and gold...
much like a young man in love would enjoy surprising his girl.
The way He used real stars in the napkin rings caused my thinking
to be shattered and enticed me to consider how creative He really
is and how we make such cheap replicas of His handiwork, but He
desires to give us the REAL thing, and His very best!
My heart was overwhelmed with the notion that we could actually
give Him, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, a gift of worship
perfume that He loved so much that He actually wore it back into
our midst! It reminded me of how He welcomed Mary and His appreciation
of her when she broke the costly vial of perfume over Him. What
kind of a God is this, that He is mindful of us in such a passionately,
interactive relationship?
Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit...forgive us for being so limited
in our thinking about You! We welcome You in all Your glory and
in the beauty of Your fragrant holiness. Cause us to know You
as the Bridegroom Who is having a wonderful time planning the
ultimate wedding feast, but may each moment of worship become
a love banquet with You! Even now.
