The Lord My Deliverer
Moses had a divine encounter with our
Deliverer at the burning bush.
"I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in
Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know
their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of
the Egyptians..." (Exodus 3:7,8)
We all need to know the Deliverer. He is the
One who sets us free. He is the God of the impossible. No matter how
difficult the circumstance might appear, He can make a way where there
is no way. As we cry out to Him for help, He is moved to come to our
aid. Whatever has held us in bondage is no match for this Holy One who
comes as Fire in our lives.
LORD, we lift up to You all the Red Seas in our lives. We call You
our Deliverer. We admit we are powerless over these Red Seas, but that
You are all-powerful and nothing is too difficult for You! We repent for
any sins which might have led us into a place of bondage. Forgive us,
Father. We break all agreement with the enemy, close the door to him,
and plead the Blood of Jesus over the doorposts of our lives. Deliver us
from every finger of oppression...physical, emotional, mental,
spiritual, financial, situational. "And do not lead us into
temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom
and the power and the glory forever. Amen." (Matthew 6:13)
We exalt The LORD My Deliverer as we lift these two 15 foot lengths
of wine/magenta/scarlet hand painted silk chiffon. Each majestic banner
is gathered onto poles approximately 3 1/2 feet long. The two banners
can be overlapped and raised together as a billowing canopy of worship,
then separated, symbolizing the parting of the Red Sea. (To do this
requires four banner bearers.)
