The Lord My Peace

The LORD Himself is also our Shalom, our Peace, and as our Shepherd,
leads us beside the still waters where He restores our souls (Psalm
23).
Revelation 7:17 tells us that the Lamb shall lead us "unto living
fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away all tears from (our)
eyes."
We honor Him not for giving us a gift or a morsel or a "piece"
of peace, but for BEING our Peace!
Our Lord has promised to inhabit our praises. As
we worship Him, His presence comes forth as might rushing waters, and in
Him there is healing, peace, deliverance, life and salvation. See
Ezekiel 47.
Many scriptures refer to our
Lord in the context of water. Renewal songs about the River of
Life continue to wind their way into our hearts. It is important
in the midst of celebrating the River of Life that we remember the
River is not a thing from our Lord but the River IS our Lord, the
Holy Spirit.
If any man thirst, let him come
unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath
said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John
7:37,38)
