The
Lord King Forever
Our God is King of all
kings and Lord over all lords, the Most High God!
The vision for this flag came from the Jubilee
promise... the year of the favor of the Lord.
Although He bestowed only
one coat of many colors on one man in the Old Testament (Joseph) as a
symbol of His favor for him, we have all come under grace and the Blood
and today He has a coat of many colors for each one of us. Jesus is our
Coat of Many Colors... the fulfillment of the Father's promise and love.
He is no respecter of persons...each of us is His favorite when it comes
to blessing, favor, mercy and keeping His word. The
multi colors painted on this silk are representative of the rainbow,
which is God's reminder to Himself that He will never again flood the
earth. They remind us that He is faithful to His word. They also
symbolize the colors of the many nations or "tribes". Some
nations are clearly distinct; others are created by a mixture of colors.
Multi colors also express joy and celebration, in addition to being worn
by virgin daughters of kings.
We worship You, King Jesus. You are, You always
were, and You will always be King over all the nations on the earth. You
are our Jubilee Promise everyday of every year. We place our trust in
You and in our Father. We come before You as your children, confident
that You are moving on our behalf, and join David as he prayed :
"Arise, O LORD! Punish the wicked, O
God! Do not forget the helpless! Why do the wicked get away with
cursing God? How can they think, 'God will never call us to account'?
But You do see the trouble and grief they cause. You take note of it
and punish them. The helpless put their trust in You. You are the
defender of orphans. Break the arms of these wicked, evil people! Go
after them until the last one is destroyed! The LORD is king forever
and ever! Let those who worship other gods be swept from the land.
LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely You will listen to
their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans
and the oppressed, so people can no longer terrify them."
(Psalm 10:12-18, NLT)
"All nations whom You have made shall come
and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name."
(Psalm 86:9)
