Glory Rings
are 10" in diameter with multi-colored organza and satin. They are hand
cut wooden rings finished in a mahogany stain, trimmed with assorted
ribbons of hand dyed silk, iridescent organza or chiffon, gold
metallic ribbon, and bells.
"Listen, O daughter,
consider and incline your ear; forget your own people also, and
your father's house; so the King will greatly desire your beauty;
Because He is your Lord, worship Him... The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; her
clothing is woven with gold. She shall be brought to the King
in robes of many colors; the virgins, her companions who follow
her, shall be brought to You. With gladness and rejoicing they
shall be brought; they shall enter the King's palace." (Psalm 45:10-15)
But
You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up
my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His
holy hill. (Psalm 3:3)
Jesus
was explaining to His disciples in Matthew 25:1-13...
"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins
who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now
five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were
foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise
took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom
was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry
was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps."
The Hebrew
word for trimmed is kosmeo which is the root of cosmetic. When
the virgins trimmed their wicks, they were beautifying, arranging,
decorating, embellishing, adorning, putting in order that upon
which the flame is carried! We are the wick, soaking up the oil
of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Flame of fire that burns within
us. One interpretation of this passage suggests that it is a picture
of revival before the Second Coming of Christ.
"And the foolish
said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are
going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should
not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell,
and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the bridegroom
came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding;
and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also,
saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' But he answered and said, 'Assuredly,
I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know
neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."
"Know" implies a personal relationship, which is born
of spiritual intimacy with our Bridegroom.

on glory rings continues in Glory
of the Virgins.
