The Lord our Healer
He is our Healer, as revealed to the Israelites at the waters of Mara.
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and
wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these
disease upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am
the LORD that healeth thee. (Exodus 15:26)
Our Lord has promised to inhabit our praises. As
we worship Him, His presence comes forth as might rushing waters, and in
Him there is healing, peace, deliverance, life and salvation. See
Ezekiel 47.
Many scriptures refer to our
Lord in the context of water. Renewal songs about the River of
Life continue to wind their way into our hearts. It is important
in the midst of celebrating the River of Life that we remember the
River is not a thing from our Lord but the River IS our Lord, the
Holy Spirit.
If any man thirst, let him come
unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath
said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John
7:37,38)
